MCU Devil’s Reign Film: Everything We Know About the Street-Level Crossover

MCU Devil’s Reign

Marvel Studios is reportedly working on a big crossover film that would serve as the ending to the Devil’s Reign storyline. The story would focus on New York City’s criminal underworld and the powerful figures who control it.

According to reports, the film would bring together fan-favorite street-level heroes like Spider-Man, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. These heroes usually fight crime in dark alleys and backstreets, not across the multiverse. The movie would focus on gritty action and strong character moments instead of cosmic threats, giving the MCU a more grounded and personal story

The story would reportedly pick up after the events of Devil’s Reign, in which Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, tightens his grip on New York City by targeting masked vigilantes and manipulating political power. Frustrated by his inability to recall Daredevil’s secret identity, Mayor Wilson Fisk enacts the “Powers Act,” officially outlawing all unsanctioned superhero activity in New York.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, and several fan‑favorite street‑level heroes are stepping back into the spotlight.

Tom Holland’s Spider‑Man was last seen in Spider‑Man: No Way Home (2021). His next adventure, Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, is set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026.

Charlie Cox’s Daredevil returned in Daredevil: Born Again, Season 1, which premiered on March 4, 2025. Season 2 is already on the calendar for March 24, 2026. Cox is also expected to appear alongside Holland in Spider‑Man: Brand New Day.

Jon Bernthal reprised his role as Frank Castle in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. He’ll headline a Punisher Special Presentation in 2026 and join the cast of Spider‑Man: Brand New Day.

Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones hasn’t been seen since her Netflix series ended in 2019. She is officially confirmed to return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, premiering in March 2026.

Mike Colter’s Luke Cage last appeared in Luke Cage Season 2 back in 2018. While he hasn’t returned yet, Marvel has hinted at conversations about bringing him back in future projects.

Finn Jones’ Iron Fist also ended with Season 2 in 2018. Like Luke Cage, his return remains speculative, with no official announcements so far.

Together, these updates show Marvel’s renewed focus on its street‑level heroes. With Spider‑Man leading the charge and Daredevil, Punisher, and Jessica Jones confirmed for major appearances, fans may soon see the full Defenders lineup reunited on screen.
