Guess who’s teaming up? Acclaimed Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg and our Spider‑Man favorite Tom Holland, with Netflix backing their upcoming project.
Coming in 2027, Netflix will debut a biopic series on the Kennedy dynasty, marking the streamer’s latest collaboration with Tom Holland, who was last seen on Netflix in 2020 as Arvin Russell in The Devil All the Time, Antonio Campos’s psychological crime thriller adapted from Donald Ray Pollock’s novel, which earned a 65% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Holland expressed admiration for Thomas Vinterberg, revealing, “ I love Thomas Vinterberg. We’re working on another project together, and it’s very exciting […] So, I’m really excited to be able to work with him on a long-format project. I can’t share what it is yet, too soon.”
The upcoming film marks the first union between Oscar‑winning director Thomas Vinterberg and Marvel superstar Tom Holland, though the two previously collaborated on a Prada commercial in 2025.
This year, Tom Holland headlines two massive releases: stepping outside the MCU to star in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, and returning in Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, the fourth film in the franchise following No Way Home (2021), directed by Destin Daniel Cretton—his second Marvel Studios project after helming Shang‑Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).
Next year, Holland is slated to step into two ambitious projects: Paul King’s Fred Astaire biopic and Jason Bateman’s adaptation of John Grisham’s The Partner.”
Oscar‑winning movie Another Round established director Thomas Vinterberg, who also earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Director. He is further known for The Hunt (2012), an Oscar‑nominated drama, and The Celebration (1998), which won the Cannes Jury Prize and received a BAFTA nomination. His filmography also includes the psychological drama Submarino (2010).”
