Rogue Trooper movie is based on the 2000 AD comic strip created by Scottish writer Gerry Finley-Day and artist Dave Gibbons( best known for Watchmen and the Superman: For the Man Who Has Everything story).

BAFTA Award-winning British director Duncan Jones returns after an eight-year gap with the animated military sci-fi Rogue Trooper movie, which he also wrote and produced.

The movie stars Voice cast, two‑time BAFTA Cymru nominee Aneurin Barnard in the titular role, with Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) as Venus Bluegenes, Grammy Award‑winning actor and comedian Jemaine Clement as Mr. Brass, Matt Berry as Mr. Bland, Golden Globe nominee Jack Lowden as Gunnar, and BAFTA Award nominee Daryl McCormack as Helm.

Other cast members include Reece Shearsmith as Bagman and Diane Morgan as Colonel Logan, alongside Sean Bean, Asa Butterfield, Alice Lowe, Adrian Edmondson, Al Murray, and Henning Wehn.

plot

Rogue Trooper movie follows 19, a Genetic Infantryman left alive after his unit’s destruction. Determined to uncover the betrayal behind the massacre, he continues his mission with the stored consciousness of three fallen squad mates housed in his equipment.

The film is produced by Rebellion Developments in collaboration with Liberty Films, with animation handled by Treehouse Digital. Bringing cutting‑edge technology into the process, the team is utilizing Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 to power the film’s real‑time visuals.

Debuting at the Annecy Festival, the animated military sci‑fi runs 125 minutes, edited by Barrett Heathcote with cinematography by Dan Atherton.
