Faith Movie Cast: Erin Doherty and James McAvoy Star in Paul Andrew Williams Drama

Erin Doherty, known for her award-winning roles in The Crown and Adolescence, will star opposite James McAvoy, the BAFTA-winning actor behind Atonement and The Last King of Scotland, in the upcoming film Faith. The ensemble includes BAFTA and BIFA award nominee Liv Hill (“Jellyfish,” “The Little Stranger”), together with Smylie Bradwell (“Hamnet,” “Hunger Games”).

“Faith” unfolds around Gina, a tireless single mother whose life is quietly transformed by Michael, a stranger shrouded in mystery. His gentle presence awakens a sense of possibility, though the truth of his intentions remains hidden in shadow.

British filmmaker Paul Andrew Williams is best known for his recent success with the award-winning “Dragonfly.” The story of Elsie (Brenda Blethyn), an 84-year-old woman living in isolation who unexpectedly befriends her troubled neighbor, Colleen (Andrea Riseborough). What begins as a healing connection soon draws suspicion from Elsie’s son, John (Jason Watkins), and spirals into mounting tension and a violent outcome.
