Production has officially begun on the sequel to Red, White & Royal Blue, and fans finally have answers about the wedding teased in the title.
Stars Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez confirmed that their characters, Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz, are the ones tying the knot in Red, White & Royal Wedding. “Last October, the sequel was formally commissioned and titled Red, White & Royal Wedding, with no details disclosed about the plot.
“The news electrified fans in 2024. With no defined source material, unlike the first movie’s Casey McQuiston adaptation, there was no clear direction for the sequel, prompting widespread guesswork.”
Galitzine shared in a behind-the-scenes video from the now-filming sequel that Red, White & Royal Wedding won’t focus on that wedding, joking that same-sex British royal nuptials are still ‘a long way off.’”
He said, “Oh, I did want to say that we are here for Bea’s wedding,” Perez noted, revealing the likely subject of the royal wedding from the title of the sequel.
Bea is Henry’s supportive younger sister, Princess Beatrice, played in the original movie by Ellie Bamber.
“Yeah, we just wanted to clarify, you know? Don’t get confused.”
“We’re not getting married,” Perez emphasized, pointing to him and Galitzine.
“That’s a long way off at this point.”
