
Finally, A24 secured the deal for “Club Kid” after a competitive bidding war with several studios, including Mubi, Netflix, and Searchlight Pictures.
Following its Cannes Un Certain Regard debut, “Club Kid” became one of the breakout titles, securing a headline‑grabbing $17M deal with A24, backed by the producers of Anora, Red Rocket, and Pet Shop Days.
The story follows a washed-up New York party promoter. An unexpected child from the past forces him to reckon with maturity, accountability, and the realities of adulthood.
The breakout comedy-drama title First Man’s directorial debut, Critics often compare it to a queer, Lower Manhattan reimagining of Sandler’s Big Daddy (1999).
